Conventional wisdom says an EV built on a multi-energy architecture (e.g., one that can accommodate an ICE or EV powertrain) will be less efficient due to engineering “scar tissue” tied to its internal combustion capability. Will Mercedes’ new MMA platform demonstrate otherwise? And if so, what does that mean? Here’s my perspective…
